IT Client Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient IT Client Manager to bridge the gap between user requirements and technical implementation. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating complex business needs into clear, comprehensive IT and technical documentation, guiding our software engineering teams to deliver efficient and effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with business stakeholders and end-users to understand, elicit, and thoroughly document their software requirements.
  • Convert user requirements into detailed technical specifications, including: Data flow diagrams, High-level architectural designs, Low-level technical designs, System integration specifications, and API documentation (where applicable).
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, and other technical teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and align with overall technical strategies. Clearly communicate design choices and technical implications to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and insights on software engineering best practices, latest technologies, and industry trends.
  • Contribute to various stages of the software development lifecycle, ensuring that technical documentation supports efficient development, testing, and deployment.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and clarity of all technical documentation, serving as a critical reference for development and future maintenance.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of software engineering principles, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.), and the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Strong understanding of various software architectures, design patterns, data modeling, and database concepts.
  • Up-to-date awareness of the latest technologies, programming languages, frameworks, cloud platforms, and relevant industry terminology.
  • Proven ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation for diverse audiences. Experience with tools for diagramming (e.g., UML, Visio) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components and propose effective technical solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a client-facing or business analyst role within an IT environment.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies or project management.
